Museums of the future and storytelling: the museum experience as pretext practice
Abstract
The narration is part of the museum experience. Through the museum's narrative plot, visitors have the extraordinary opportunity to feel part of a "great" narrative. This occasion has an important educational relevance especially in a phase that lacks a unitary direction of sense. Investing in the narrative character of the museum experience therefore means enhancing its capacity for transformation and orientation. This investment can find a valid and effective resource in educational pretext practices. Through the idea of pretext, the contribution aims to recognize the museum as a strategic space in the formation of contemporary man.
