Secrets of the thinking being: dance and philosophy in "Dehors la danse" and "Allitérations. Conversations sur la danse" by Mathilde Monnier and Jean-Luc Nancy
Abstract
In their essays Dehors le danse and Allitérations. Conversations sur la danse, the choreographer Mathilde Monnier and the philosopher Jean-Luc Nancy explore the similarities and the differences between dance and philosophy, trying to find their same “sens hors du sens” [meaning without meaning]. This article intends to participate in their debate and investigate about the relation between the two disciplines, which seems to share the secret of a same “essere pe(n)sante” [thinking and heavy being].
