Abstract

When the film was still in black and white, when the sound was in its infancy, Fashion and Cinema began to approach cautiously. This essay is the tale of a story, animated by filmmakers and stars, costume designers and fashion designers: since 1919, the film gives visibility to the costumes worn by the actors on set, but during the XX century their relationship is gradually developed and now, fashion designers and directors are working side by side, throwing themselves into completely new projects. The result of their collaboration are the commercials and artistic short films, promotional campaigns with a high creative and media content, always online, introduced and screened during the most important Film Festival in the world.
