The Christian Believer’s Spiritual Clothing in John Donne’s Comment of Galatians 3, 27
Abstract
Considering the rising symbolic importance of clothing in Seventeenth-Century England, this paper analyzes the use of the metaphor of clothes to in John Donne's comment of Galatians 3, 27. The metaphor is used throughout the sermon to convey theologic concepts and ideas, as shown in a close analysis of the text.
