Abstract

The following essay brings back the transcription of Cinematografo (1898), written by Anna Vertua Gentile (1845-1926), considered one of the first italian text with references to cinema. In the introduction to the text we will analyze the context about the first italian connection between cinema and literature.

Massimo Bonura, Università Telematica eCampus

Massimo Bonura(Palermo, 1994) is a PhD student in “Medium and Mediality” (eCampus Telematic University) and his work is about cinema and comics. He published Cinema, vignette e baionette (Palermo University Press, 2020), Verga e i mass media (Palermo University Press, 2021), Dimensioni cinefumettistiche (Edizioni Ex Libris, 2022; with an essay written by F.F.
