Abstract

The article investigates the interrelation between the concepts of landscape and mindscape in the artistic and theoretical production of the American artist Peter Halley. Using as primary sources both his writings and various reviews and contributions concerning this specific aspect of his work, the aim of this short essay is to problematize the landscape dimension of some of his works from the 1980s and 1990s, in light of various contemporary considerations regarding the concept of abstraction.
