Abstract

Alongside a careful reflection on the translation choices made on the occasion of the release of Voices from the plains for Serpent's Tail in 1988, Lumley offers a revised translation of one of the short stories in the collection, "Vivenza d'un barbiere dopo la morte".

Robert Lumley, University College London

Robert Lumley is Professor Emeritus at University College London. Among his books translated in Italian: Dal 68 agli anni di piombo. Studenti e operai nella crisi italiana (Giunti, 1998); L’industria del museo (Costa&Nolan, 2005); Le città visibili.
