Abstract

This essay, through the case of Epoca (1950-1955), intends to investigate the space of cultural journalism in illustrated magazines, with the idea that the magazines are not only among the periodicals most receptive to the changes that affected literary society after the Second World War, but also represented a new actor in literary modernity. Furthermore, the mobilisation in cultural journalism of visual media drawn from other discursive contexts has important consequences for the characterisation of the critical-informative discourse, which this essay aims to begin to evaluate.
